The Ralph Stanley Museum welcomes groups of all ages.

We offer a group rate of at least $1.00 off admission prices to groups of ten or more who make advance reservations.* Please call to schedule your group at least two weeks before your visit. This will help museum staff prepare a wonderful experience for your group. Please allot at least 1-2 hours to fully enjoy what the museum has to offer.

*Groups who do not make advance reservations may be charged regular admission rates.

Group Rates

School groups should expect a guided tour through the museum. Groups of more than15-20 may need to be divided into smaller groups. We recommend at least one adult per 10 students.

Two comp passes to the museum per bus.

Unloading and Parking

Buses and vans have options of unloading their passengers.
Museum Entrance – Park along the sidewalk on Main Street in front of the museum and unload by the stairs. Buses can park in this area or move to an alternate parking area.

Side of Community Center – Turn from Main Street onto Volunteer Avenue and temporarily park by the stairs located beside the Community Center. Follow sidewalk and climb stairs to the Museum Entrance. Buses will need to park in an alternative parking area.

Rear of Museum (Handicap Accessible) – Due to sharpness of curve, this parking area may only be accessible for small buses and vans. Turn from Main Street onto Volunteer Avenue. Turn right on driveway between Rescue Squad and Fire Department buildings and follow until you reach the back of the museum. You will enter the museum from the back of the museum (especially those who need assistance) or stairs are located on the left side of the building that will allow you to enter the front of the museum.

Alternative Parking Areas
Buses that cannot park along Main Street may park in any of the available areas.

1. Behind Clintwood Baptist Church
2. Behind the Jettie Baker Center

Accessibility
For those who may need assistance, parking is available at the rear of the museum. Please ring the doorbell for staff assistance to enter the museum. An elevator will carry those who need assistance to and from the first or second floor.

Planning on Having Lunch or Dinner During Your Visit?

We have space available for your group to have lunch. The Community Center, located next door to the Museum, has tables and chairs for at least 100 people. Please indicate to Museum Staff when you book your tour if you would like to reserve this space. During warmer days, your group is more than welcome to use our lawn for a picnic lunch.

Not interested in brown bagging your lunch? Several local restaurants can provide boxed lunches for your group upon preplanning. Most will deliver upon request. Please contact your restaurant of choice directly to make arrangements. It is suggested that you call at least one day in advance.
