More About the museum

Filled with a collection of memorabilia from the life and career of Ralph Stanley, the museum features state-of-the-art audio and video displays.

An electrician (right) installs one of the many listening stations located throughout the museum. Visitors receive headphones to use as they learn about Stanley, his music, and the mountains which molded his style. Stanley's music conquered many obstacles and endured to occupy an esteemed position in the world of country, Bluegrass and roots music.

The museum underwent design renovation. As you can see this magnificent facility, located on Main Street in Clintwood, Virginia is a worthy destination.

The museum is located in what has been known as "The Chase House" - shown here in the early 1900's (right) and as it is today (above).
